Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, as a landmark in Haikou, is a multi-functional complex integrating conference, exhibition, hotel, recreation, commerce and residence. With a total area of 721mu, it is located on the west coast of Haikou, closely adjacent to Qiongzhou Strait. Enjoying an accessible traffic network, it is only 15-minute drive to the downtown, 40-minute drive to Haikou Meilan International Airport, and 10-minute drive to Haikou Train Station. Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, consisting of an exhibition center and a convention center, has a total construction area of 136,200sqm, including a ground area of 119,400sqm and an underground construction area of 16,800sqm. The design is headed by the design master Li Xinggang from China Architecture Design & Research Group, who is also the head of the design team of Beijing National Stadium of Beijing Olympic Games 2008. The architecture blends the unique tropical coastal style and marine culture elements of Hainan. When looked from the appearance, it is like a winged eagle, and resembles an ancient creature from the deep ocean.
With a construction area of 77,000sqm, the exhibition center houses a 4850sqm lobby and 3 exhibition halls. The three exhibition halls have an area of 5830sqm, 13230sqm and 13950sqm respectively, capable of housing 1891 standard international booths. In addition, a 25,000sqm outdoor exhibition space is available, which can house 1500 standard international booths for exhibitions of heavy-duty or large-sized machinery. Meanwhile, Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center can undertake exhibition projects and provide you with one-stop services ranging from exhibition hall planning to booth construction.
Located in the north of the exhibition center, the convention center has a construction area of 42,000sqm, including a multi-functional hall covering 1600sqm, a theater with 1800 seats, an international conference room with 500 seats and a simultaneous interpretation system, as well as 24 small- and medium-sized conference halls and VIP rooms of different sizes. The astylar lobby with an area of 4850sqm in the exhibition center can be used to host large meetings or banquets of around 3500 participants.
